Presidential candidates debate while Rome burns
Since these two guys are actors, can't they get better actors to debate? Since these two guys are gangsters, can't they get Tony Soprano to square off against Sonny Corleone? That would give us some fabulous TV viewing.
Here are a couple of the incisive after-debate poll questions from CBS and CNN: how do you feel now about (candidate) caring about your needs and problems; did (candidate) perform better than you expected.
Caring about my needs and problems? What the hell does the president have to do with my needs and problems? I need the dissolution of the two American political parties. My problem is they're actually one party with two heads.
Perform better than I expected? I expected both of them would be mind-numbing, and they exceeded even Dr. Phil.
Democrat-Republican politics in America is a walking dead man. We who know this are trending, as they say. We need to expand our ranks. Two pernicious book-end gargoyles aren't going to save the day.
Back during the George W. Bush neocon regime, President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela in his UN speech summed up George W. Bush for the world. I am quoting Chavez from memory, not verbatim. “Yesterday standing at this same podium was Satan himself, speaking as if he owned the world. You can still smell the sulfur.”
Chavez is one of the American right-wing’s favorite bogyman, because Chavez helps the people instead of bleeding them for the rich, which is Washington’s way. While Washington has driven all but the one percent into the ground, Chavez cut poverty in half, doubled university enrollment, and provided health care and old age pensions to millions of Venezuelans for the first time.
Unfortunately, the Democrats, if a lesser evil, are still an evil. There is no reason to vote for the reelection of a president who codified into law the Bush regime’s destruction of the US Constitution, who went one step further and asserted the power to murder US citizens without due process of law, and who has done nothing to stop the exploitation of the American people by the one percent.
As Gerald Celente says in the Autumn Issue of the Trends Journal, when confronted with the choice between two evils, you don’t vote for the lesser evil.
You boycott the election and do not vote. “Lesser or greater, evil is evil.”
If Americans had any sense, no one would vote in the November election. Whoever wins the November election, it will be a defeat for the American people.

Here we go again. Millions of Americans will soon vote for either the Republican or Democratic presidential candidate not because they deeply believe that he is absolutely the best possible president the country needs and can have. No, they will know that they are compromising and choosing the lesser of two evils, mainly because most people know that both major parties and their candidates stink. The lesser evil is still a loser.
This is the only way to accurately understand the American electorate. Americans overwhelmingly are a combination of three awful characteristics. The vast majority are dumb, distracted and delusional, whether they see themselves on the left or right, or as independent.
This much is certain. Whether you vote for Romney or Obama, if your choice wins you will eventually be painfully disappointed. All our elections do now is sustain a corrupt, dysfunctional status quo. I keep waiting for a presidential candidate who tells the public that we need some reform constitutional amendments, like getting all private money out of politics, that Congress will never propose and that only an Article V convention will propose. Give me a presidential candidate that supports having the first Article V convention and I will see the possibility of fixing the US.
If you truly believe that electing Romney or Obama will put the nation on the right track and a path to renewed shared prosperity, fiscal sanity, greatly reduced unemployment and an end to too-big-to-fail crony capitalism, then you have been brainwashed by the right or left or are well into Alzheimer's disease.

9/11: Criminal Incompetence and Ass-Covering by the Bush Administration
On this eleventh anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, we would like to take a look back at what went wrong.
While the Bush administration tried to make its response to 9/11 its crowning achievement, the truth is that they acted with criminal incompetence and ass-covering.
(8) Many of the draconian “national security programs” – such as the Patriot Act, spying on Americans and indefinite detention – overtly approved after 9/11 had actually been implemented or planned before 9/11. September 11th was used as an excuse to ramp up these programs.
These programs were approved during the Bush administration … but were never terminated by the Obama administration. In fact, while Obama is a nicer and smarter guy than Bush, top constitutional law professors say that Obama has actually expanded these programs. And top national security experts say that these programs actually harm our national security and increase the threat from terrorism. See this and this.
